Terms of Use Agreement

July 1, 2008

Ticket Information System is a ticket notification and answering online automated module that allows an individual to create a membership profile and use that profile to check the status of any tickets assessed to that vehicle and receive electronic notification of any tickets. The services offered by District of Columbia – Department of Motor Vehicles ("DC DMV" or "we") include the dmv.dc.gov website (the "dmv.dc.gov" Website), any other features, content, or applications offered from time to time by dmv.dc.gov in connection with the Ticket Information System website (collectively, the "DC DMV Services"). The DC DMV Services are hosted in the U.S.

The Terms of Use Agreement ("Agreement") sets forth the legally binding terms for your use of the DC DMV Services. By using the DC DMV Services, you agree to be bound by this Agreement, whether you are a "Visitor” or you are a "Member" (which means that you have registered with dmv.dc.gov). The term "User" refers to a Visitor or a Member. You are only authorized to use the DC DMV Services (regardless of whether your access or use is intended) if you agree to abide by all applicable laws and to this Agreement. Please read this Agreement carefully and save it. If you do not agree with it, you should leave the DC DMV Website and discontinue use of the Ticket Information System immediately. If you wish to become a Member and make use of the Ticket Information System, you must read this Agreement and Ticket Information System Introduction Page and indicate your acceptance during the Registration process.

This Agreement includes DC DMV's policy for acceptable use of the DC DMV Services and content posted on the DC DMV Website, your rights, obligations and restrictions regarding your use of the DC DMV Services and Ticket Information System Privacy Policy. In order to participate in certain Ticket Information System features, you may be notified that you are required to download software or content and/or agree to additional terms and conditions. Unless otherwise provided by the additional terms and conditions applicable to the DC DMV Services in which you choose to participate, those additional terms are hereby incorporated into this Agreement. You may receive a copy of this Agreement by emailing the DMV Freedom of Information Officer and requesting the Terms of Use Agreement.

After you complete the registration process, you will be required to enter a username and password to log into DC DMV Services. Once you are logged in, your name and address will appear on the screen. This personal information will only appear while you are logged into the system. DC Law requires a DC resident to provide DC DMV with any changes to his or her address and name. In order to change your name and/or address and receive an updated license and proof of registration, you must report to a DMV service center with proper documentation. For more information, see http://dmv.dc.gov/serv/idservices/addchange.shtm and http://dmv.dc.gov/serv/idservices/namechange.shtm. If you are not a DC resident, contact your home jurisdiction to update your name and address.

DC DMV may modify this Agreement from time to time and such modification shall be effective upon posting by DC DMV on the DC DMV Website. You agree to be bound to any changes to this Agreement when you use the DC DMV Services after any such modification is posted. It is therefore important that you review this Agreement regularly to ensure you are updated as to any changes.
