You must request an Administrative/Initial Review within 21 days of receiving the citation, or within 14 days of receiving the Reminder Notice of Parking Violation. The initial review of your citation is conducted by the City of West Hollywood. Based on the written information you have provided the City will determine if there is sufficient proof to rule that: - the violation did not occur; the registered owner was not responsible, or extenuating circumstances prevented you from complying. If your citation is found to be “Not Valid” you will be sent written notification that the citation has been dismissed. Your citation will be cancelled and you do not need to take any further action. If your citation is found to be “Valid” by the City’s initial review by mail, you may schedule an administrative hearing to be conducted by an independent hearing officer. There are four ways to request an Administrative/Initial Review: online, by mail, telephone, or in-person. Online Request You may request your administrative review and submit supporting documentation by filling out a simple online form. Request a Review Now Request by Mail You can request an Administrative/Initial Review by writing to the following address: City of West Hollywood P.O. Box 51848 Los Angeles, CA 90051-6148 Please include supporting documentation you would like to present for consideration, such as proof of current registration, photographs, or change of vehicle ownership information. Any supporting documentation submitted into evidence becomes part of the record and may not be returned. If your citation is found to be "Not Valid" you will be sent written notification that the citation has been dismissed. Your citation will be cancelled and you do not need to take any further action. Once the Administrative/Initial Review has been completed, the results of the Review will be recorded in the City of West Hollywood computer. You cannot request a second Review of the same citation. Request by Telephone You can request an Administrative/Initial Review by calling 1-800-687-2458 (calling within U.S.) or 1-213-689-8421 (calling from outside U.S.) between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday through Friday. The Initial Review will be recorded via telephone by the Customer Service Representative (CSR). The CSR will listen to your explanation of the reasons why you are contesting the citation and, will document your request and forward to the proper authority for review.
